<p>Sorry for the title, i tried to draw as much people here as possible lol.</p>

<p>First here are my stats:</p>

Graduation Year: 2008
High School: Private
High School Type: rarely sends grads to top private schools ( about 95% go to SUNY or CUNY)
Will apply for financial aid: Yes</p>

<p>Academics:</p>

<p>GPA - Unweighted: 95.274
Class Rank: Guidance counselor said 2nd
Class Size: She didn't tell me (very very small school though)</p>

<p>Scores:
SAT I (Retook on saturday i'll get around 2150, give or take 20 pts)
SAT II Math Level 2: 730
SAT II Physics: 730
ACT- 33
All honors courses so far (which is the most rigorous schedule at my school)...No AP's offered at my school, only honors...will that hurt? I did take some classes at a nearby college.</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Soccer (12 years) 4 year varsity starter and captain. 2 State Championship with club team. Regional Champions with club team. All-Borough, All-Conference, All-State, All-Region for past 2 High school seasons. US U17 National Team Pool as of December (YaY!!)
President of Chess Club
Taekwondo (5 or 6 years..black belt though..lol)
Capoiera (14 years) President of school Club (Mixed Martial Arts tournament 1st Place '05,'06)
Music : Part of school orchestra, played guitar for about 10 years

<p>I want to know what you guys think about my chances at getting into:</p>

<p>UPenn ED
Carnegie Mellon
Cornell
Steven Institute of Technology
RPI
WPI
MIT ( don't know if i'm applying..its my math teachers school so he wants me to go)</p>

<p>I'm no legacy (at least not at these schools), my stats (SAT) isn't nothing special compared with the rest of the bunch, but I'm DYING!! to get into any of these schools..lol. I want to study DMD and business if i get into UPenn and probably Computer science everywhere else. So do you guys think i have a decent shot? Any advice on what i can do to maybe increase my chances at admission?</p>

<p>ps: If it helps I'm being recruited by the coaches from CMU, Cornell, and UPenn for soccer. But yea....</p>

<p>You're a black kid from bk (generally accepted as a poor area?) that has scores that are almost as good as most middle class kids. You also have a nice list of athletics, martial arts, music, work experience, in-school honors, etc. and it seems like your math teacher would be willing to write you a great essay.</p>

<p>I'd say your chacnes are pretty darn good.</p>

<p>Another thing... Have you considered Harvard? I'd say that you have a pretty good chance there too. All your EC's are good and your scores too. URM status is what will push you over probably. Give it a shot?</p>

<p>i have but...i want to major in like a technological-orientated field along with business so I'd rather go to like UPenn, Cornell, CMU, or MIT....but Harvard I'd probably get in...not to sound arrogant but my brother did undergrad and is currently at Harvard law...and my dad is a Harvard law alum...but i don't think Harvard is for me lol</p>

<p>You might not want to apply Penn ED just because if you get in and they don't offer enough financial aid, you're screwed. I kind of have the same problem so that is just something to consider.</p>
