After this was said, the mom went into hiding to escape being picked up. Why? Because she is an illegal immigrant: if not, why would she flee?

There is a difference between a citizen sending money to relatives and people, who simply being here are downright criminals, undermining American society.

In response to ksarmand: I find there to be a fundamental difference between Americans choosing where to spend their (post-tax) money and where illegal immigrants send vast amounts of money (a fair amount of which is pre-tax since many illegals are paid in cash). Plus, when you get into the sheer amount leaving the country, it undermines our economy seeing as the money does not get spent in the US. Many illegal immigrants use their money exclusively to help those back at home: economic disaster.

@Blackbanana
Author for both: Fred Elbel. A computer scientist who heads an organization that wants to essentially get rid of immigration. Reliable source there ;).

The next one doesn’t have an author.

The final author- P.A. Madison. Can’t find anything about him/her. I don’t trust most people who don’t list their credentials.

Did you manage to pass any high school English or social studies classes? If so, I hope they never checked your sources…

Right, because foreigners who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers are not subject to US law. Illegal immigrants, on the other hand, are certainly subject to US law, which is why they are deported when caught.

Wow. Obviously (well i guess not) when you’re in a country you have to follow their rules. Jurisdiction is not just going to another country on a exchange program and not jaywalking, it’s all about allegiance. They are deported because it’s the law of the land. Just because you are not a citizen of a country does not mean you do not follow its rules. If that was the case, this world would be chaos. . .as if it isnt already.

We have a graduated tax rate in America. Chances are that the money being sent by illegals wouldn’t have generated much tax revenue anwyay. You seem to be more opposed to the fact that* illegals* are sending the money than that the actual result of taxation - revenue generation, which in this case would be negligible - is not being achieved.

Bulshiit. Illegal immigrants have needs too: shelter, food, clothing, et cetera.

^ “Bulshiit. Illegal immigrants have needs too: shelter, food, clothing, et cetera.”
Yep. All for a hefty total of $300. . . for the year. You’re right that’s really stimulating the economy… . NOT.

You’re already showing how isolated from reality you are. Food alone can run up costs of >$200 monthly, depending on how many people must be fed. Renting a room (not an apartment, mind you), at least in my part of the States, costs $400 AT BEST. Unless you have an understanding of or experience with such matters, then don’t throw around such vain, useless, and ignorant commentary.

Whatever i was obviously exaggerating, THe point is they are not paying as much as Americans across the board b/c they dont have to. You know what im done. I always take the side of Americans not illegals. Shameful on your part.

Read a book. Watch Glenn Beck or something, he’ll tell you whats really up. Deuces.

So what? A child born in this country owes allegiance as much to this country as any other country. Which is why the law is that children born in this country are under this country’s jurisdiction.
