I'm a Newb. Need some advice!!!

Hello. I'm a Sophomore in college with Junior status. However I have never done any internship before. I'm planning to take an internship over summer to gain some experiences about finance. Therefore I need some advice from seniors.
Here is a little of my background: I'm an international student. I will go back to my country for summer vacation. So the internship will take place in my country, not in the US.
Now I have 2 questions: 1) I think I will need to send emails to ask about the internship programs in some companies (because I only stay for approx. 3 months in my country). So when I write the email, should I write in English or in my native language? 2) Since this is my first internship, I am not sure about the possibility of acceptance. I'm planning to apply for about 5-7 firms. If I get accepted from 2 or more firms, what should I do to politely deny the internship offered to me?
**note*: I do not know what the application process will be in my country. The employer may just make a decision based on my online application. Some may do an online interview.

I can’t speak to many of your questions, but I would advise you to apply to as many firms as possible. Expect to get interviews to 20-25% of firms you apply to, and expect to get second round interviews to half of those 20-25%. It’s probably a 1 in 3 chance of getting an offer from a company you have two interviews with, so if you want to have multiple offers, it may take as many as 45 applications to get where you want to be.

Talk to your university’s career services people… they will point you in the right direction.
