I had a really good chance of getting a five on the AP Euro exam, and I felt super confident after the test…until the teacher called me up to his desk and told me he had to report me as an “irregularity” because during the planning period for the DBQ, I opened the book of BLANK PAPER one minute early and started to write my essay. I didn’t have any idea you weren’t actually allowed to WRITE during this time? Will my scores be canceled? I’m literally in tears, so frustrated and upset!

Hey, he should have told you that you weren’t supposed to open it. What a jerk, a kid did that in my class and she just said “Don’t open that yet” and he handed it to her until the reading section was over. But I don’t think you should get your scores cancelled! Maybe you could talk with the proctor, explain that you had no idea (cos he didn’t TELL you?) you weren’t supposed to be writing before he said so.

P.S. - You’re not an idiot. Want to hear about an idiot? Last year, on my first AP exam and first standardized test (I’m homeschooled), I bubbled in all my answers on the TEST BOOKLET instead of in the answer sheet. So yeah, I got a 1 when I knew all the content and probably could’ve gotten a 5. I know you don’t care because right now you’ve got your own worries, but just telling you, you’re not an idiot Besides, you weren’t even intentionally breaking the rules.

Your scores most likely wont be cancelled, don’t worry

some kid in my room did that but the lady was just like “DON’T OPEN IT” and even though he had broken the seal he didn’t do anything else and no one said anything else about it.

Well my proctor told me that I COULD begin writing immediately. Haha, he didn’t bother to read the rules. Unfortunately, I’m wayyy too slow when it comes to the DBQ so I ended up not even starting until like 22 minutes in.

On the bright side, I don’t think your scores will be canceled. If he specifies one minute I don’t think it’s going to make a difference. But I guess if he just says that you opened the testing booklet before he permitted you to that might be a problem? I really don’t know Such a jerk for him to do that though! If he saw that you had started early he should have told you that you couldn’t start writing yet :|

My score got flagged for AP Lang for smiling when a girl pulled down her pants during the exam (no lie). It was flagged but was not cancelled and colleges never saw it because the exam scores are self-reported. I mean they’ll see it when I officially send my scores but admissions wise nothing happened.

Wait, what?

A girl pulled down her pants during the exam? Why!?

Care to elaborate?

raiderade; You pretty much have to tell the rest of the story now.

I bet she had answers written inside her pants.

PLEASE explain why she pulled her pants down!!! LMAO

That is sorta hilarious

swebber- how do you bubble in the test booklet? You just circled the answers or something like that?

And i’m the biggest idiot here. You know how the essay booklet is wrapped and they have the essay labels on it (like 2 and 4, 2 and 5, etc). Well I didn’t see the label and threw out the wrapping. I told my proctor when we were told to put the label on and had to go in the garbage (luckily the recyclables) to get it back. Embarrassment to the max

When i was sealing the MC part of the test i only sealed the first page lmao and the proctor had to peel the sticker off

lol i aldmost did that on ap us history yesterday

nwpnerd: you almost did what?

And how dumb is it to throw out the essay labels, lol, i honestly did not see them. Now my friends are always going to make fun of me for this -_-

Must know storyyy!!
