i've lived in texas for almost 4 years (3 is the minimum to qualify for instate tuition i believe) but i am a canadian citizen on a renewable visa, as in, i don't have a ss number/green card. do i still qualify for tafsa (financial aid for texas residents) or other scholarships that ut offers such as the top 10% scholarship, etc.

also, i'm in top 8% so i am automatically admitted to ut austin. does that mean that they do not take into account the sat score? i scored only around a 1900 my first time. :( does that affect my chances of being accepted?

here's some more info about me

thanks for the reassurance. i knew it was auto acceptance for top 8% but i didn’t know whether sat played a part in that too. is it still better to get a higher sat score for the scholarships and stuff though?
