i NEVER knew how hard rejections would be...GOD i wish my parents didnt force me to apply to this many schools

You got into some good colleges just be happy....
i got rejected from:
NYU
Lehigh
UCB
Syracuse
Suny Stonybrook
Suny Binghamton

if i got into lehigh or carnegie mellon, i would cheering my butt out

Maybe it's a misconception on my part... But isn't Carnegie Mellon the best school on that list?

yes...thats the only thing that keeps me going...when i got my nyu rejection today i had a mental breakdown...i NEVER in a million years would have expected for them to reject me completely

Well if its the best one.. well c'mon dude... all you need is one acceptance!

dude you got into lehigh and cm....why ae you sad?...have you seen my list? i rejected from reaches and safeties

i think im just upset because nyu happened today...i was perfectly fine with all my other rejections..but i NEVER saw this one coming

well cheer up man, im in infiniti times worse situation than you...at least you can fall back on lehigh or cm or bu

Have you considered that maybe u were over-qualified for some of these schools? (believe it or not there is such a thing) Maybe some of them (including the self titled) have "Tufts syndrome". Well at leat u know... i'm still biting my nails waiting to hear from nyu (even though I did get into brown and rice). does anyone have any idea why that is? and also did u get ur letter in the regular mail or via e-mail?

its actually pretty much between cmu and mcgill for me...unless one of the others gives me a really really good fin aid offer

im definatly not over qualified for the others, but NYU wow like just wow...it was never a reach...idk what happened

i got it in mail

Well, u shouldn't let it get u down... CM is an amazing school. However, I DO NOT reccommend BU. (ack!)

whats cg?!?!

I would recommend McGill. It's set in a brilliant city with lots of culture and history. It's a big college town (there's also Concordia University up there) and the apartments to rent are definitely cheaper than in Toronto. (Not that you're considering Toronto) While of a somewhat huge size, I think McGill gives you a total college experience academically and socially. It also grants you great freedom. (And, if you're interested, the drinking age in Montreal is 18, I believe...)

shut up......you got into good colleges..

are you from canada beekeeper?

yes i am considering mcgill...and cmu...thats pretty much it at this time

You got into CMU. You should be happy. I got rejected from CMU but got into NYU (the only other college on your list that's on mine).. Funny

scratch that... now edited. :-)

haha that is kinda funny roy...what program did you apply to at cmu and nyu?

yeah, how could you be "beyond miserable" with those acceptances.
