I'm done researching Colleges...

I have been accepted as a transfer student to BU, which is extremely great.

the hard part.
I was given no aid at all. I am willing completely to take on the debt that comes with my education but my parents and I have not gone through the lending process.
our basic concerns are that of room and board. Because I am a transfer, on campus room and board are not available and I do not have enough cash saved to pay for a boston apartment for a school year. Is it going to be necessary to take out a private loan for my education and another private loan for my room and board? I have a fairly good credit history and my parents should be willing to co-sign on loans, but we don't know where to start looking. I'm looking at 37,000 for each of the next two years and that doesn't include housing or the possibilities of attending another semester/summer.

I really don't know where or how to start the process of looking for aid/loans. thanks.

All you will really need is 1 private loan. You will take out a loan that covers tuition and what you estimate the cost of your apartment to be. This will be dispersed to the school (and certified that you're not taking out too much money), and then you'll request the money back.

There are a bunch of places to look for loans (like citibank, boa, etc..), but may I suggest MEFA? They offer really good loans to students from MA, or that are going to school in MA. You may also want to consider an apartment a little farther away from the school and take the T in to save some money. 37k a year plus housing is pretty steep.
