I've only taken the SAT I (going to retake for sure) and the SAT II's (might retake bio and math2) once and the ACT twice.. I'll try to keep this short... please I would love anybody's input/ an objective view

I took the hardest classes per grade at my school, so if there aren't that many honors initially, it's because my school doesn't offer them

-Cornell maybe
-Amherst maybe

sry that was long.. chance me though!

...do i not have a chance at any of these colleges or something? is that why nobody is chancing me?

:(

Your scores are great. And being a girl helps for b-school admissions. But being asian, unfortunately, does not.

Your ECs are great. If you can find a way to communicate them (the most important ones, none of this I was once in a play in 10th grade nonsense) in a a way that expresses that then you've, again, got a great shot.

What's going to get you in? Essays and Recs. Your application will make or break you. Make sure you're getting recommendations from teachers who don't just think that you're great because you got As in their classes, but who respect your dedication to learning/community service/whatever and think you're a great person as well as a great student. Work super hard on your Why College X essays.

You've got a great shot. Approach the process with care and determination. Don't slack on any part of your app. Work your butt off. And hopefully, it will pay off.

Wharton is obviously killer. But MIT loves girls, so maybe they'll be more lenient. I'm also wondering where your safeties are? Washington U seems to be the only one. More match/safety schools would help. Theoretically UMich is one, but make sure you'd be happy there.

Best wishes!!!

ahh thanks ses

washu, mich, and northwestern were going to be my safeties. cornell too maybe

yeah im kinda an overachiever.. :( cuz wharton's my absolute dream

WashU and northwestern safeties? Ehh...

-Wharton (UPenn) ED Reach
-MIT (Sloan business school) EA High Match
-Brown High Match
-Yale Reach
-Harvard Reach
-Princeton Reach
-Northwestern High Match
-Washington University Match
-Stanford Reach
-Columbia Reach
-Berkeley (Haas Business school) Match
-U Mich. Accelerated Business program Match
-Dartmouth Low Reach
-Cornell Low Reach
-Amherst Match

definently send your act's. dont worry the bio grade wont kill u. colleges only look at 2 or 3 best satIIs.
but i do think u should get some reasonable safeties like bu, or u illinois-uc. washu btw always has a ginormous waitlist.

i think your weakness is that you dont have too many business specific ecs. ppl who apply to wharton often run they're own internet/family business etc

Wharton (UPenn) ED- reach (its a reach for everyone)
-MIT (Sloan business school) EA- reach (very selective, small program)
-Brown- slight reach/match
-Yale- reach
-Harvard-reach
-Princeton- reach
-Northwestern- match
-Washington University- match
-Stanford- reach
-Columbia- reach/slight reach
-Berkeley (Haas Business school)- match
-U Mich. Accelerated Business program- match (almostsafety)
-Dartmouth maybe- slight reach
-Cornell maybe- match (AEM slight reach, i may be bias)
-Amherst maybe- reach

wow thanks u guys

the reason i say northwestern and washu are safeties is because im pretty sure they have connections with our school (washU especially) + while I hate to sound arrogant, I'm a lot more qualified than people who have been accepted to those two in the past (but then again you never know) + my dad is a professor as WashU.

yeah and unfortunately no business extracurriculars at my school, and it's too late now to try and become a member of DECA, which i just found about this year.

do you guys think a 2300+ SAT score will improve my chances?/ any suggestions besides to have a killer app?/ what else is bringing me down?

PS- do you guys think a 3.97 GPA is good enough? my school is one of the toughest private schools in my state, and I have that GPA w/ 3 A-'s, the rest A's in all of my high school career so far.

"washu, mich, and northwestern were going to be my safeties. cornell too maybe"

"the reason i say northwestern and washu are safeties is because im pretty sure they have connections with our school "

Is that the special program where they offer spots to students from your school? excuse my sarcasm, but you are very misguided if you think so, and judging others' qualifications is best left to adcoms. While your profile certainly makes you competitive for all those schools, i see no guaranteed safety, and few matches. Also, the 50% line at HYPMS is 1500 SAT, and the majority of unhooked applicants score above that. You need a more balnced list.
