I sent in my Princeton application around 30 minutes last night (my card got declined after too many payments). When I look on CommonApp, the application says “Submitted” instead of “Downloaded by College.” Is this what other people are seeing? If not, what should I do?
Call the admissions office.
Don’t call the admissions office. They’re busy, they understand the last minute craziness, and they’ll give your application full consideration.
Take a deep breath. Relax. You’ll be fine. Good luck!
Don’t call the adcom. This is what everyone sees until your admissions officer checks common app again to download any submitted apps. This is perfectly normal.
OP is going to have to call someone to get all the charges removed from the credit card.
^^^Do not do this. Pretty much every college is closed right now, so there’s a legitimate reason your app hasn’t been downloaded. Wait until Princeton comes back from break and see if it says downloaded, if not, only then should you call the adcom office. If they didn’t receive it, then see if something went wrong. So far, you’ve done everything normally.
Thanks to the people who told me not to worry. It now shows up as “Downloaded by College”
That’s great! Make sure to check your card’s statement to make sure you were only charged once, but you’ll be fine.
@excelgrinder - You’re welcome. That’s what we’re here for.
