I'm goddamn worried. What are my chances to get in Wharton?

June SAT: V: 720 M: 800 W: 690
But i got 750 in old SAT2 writing subject test. So my combined score is 2270. And I took Micro, Macro, Calculus BC, Physics B, and Statistics Ap exams. All subjects except the statistics are 5. And I got 4 in Statistics test.
SAT2.
Math 2C 800
Math 1C 790
Physics 780
Chemistry 750
Writing 750
My unweighted GPA is 3.97
I have decent rec, as my friend told me. ANd some leardership something. I live in Seoul, Korea, if it does matter to you. ANd I have applied for Wharton.

What do you think my chances are??

Very good.

honestly, no one can tell what your future has in store. Just hope for the best and return to your normal activities :)

do you actually go to a school in seoul?

if so, they don't really care about your numbers, as high scores have become so mundane among you people "studying" for SAT's all day.

if you are attending a school in the states, then that may be a different story, as your GPA will be in a better context.

also, if you don't mind my asking, do you go to choate?

p.s.
these are just my honest thoughts. please take no offense.

Are you korean? If you are, then you are up against some tough competition!

What are some of your extracurrics?

Yes I am Korean.
And these are some of my extracurricular activities.
1. president of korean traditional dance club
2. producing electronic books for the blind people
3. teaching basketball to the mentally disabled
4. translating English documents for NGOs
5. member of Amnesty International
6. Head Teacher Assistant, especially in electronic devices
7. youth reporter of a major newspaper company in Korea
8. participation in Presidential Classroom, Seven Habits program
9. Class president in junior year and senior year
10. AP scholar with distinction award
11. internship at a major bank in South Korea(I researched about the RFID system and its application and dealing of foreign exchange)
12. Internship at a lawfirm(research about the class action and its effect on Korean economy)

And for my GPA, I am 7/65.

your class rank is pretty low

but other than that, you're gosu (not chobo)

you're chances are good

Yep, class rank doesn't help you...but since it's such a small class, just being out of the top 10% does not hurt as much as if you had 300 kids in your class.

Ah I forgot to say this. My school does not send the ranks of students. Amd Kliuless, you are Korean. Nice to meet you.

haha no i'm not korean

i'm actually chinese

but i have korean friends (and girlfriends) and they've taught me some things =)

ahnyoung!
(if you're a girl), noga chincha kyoyo xD
(if you're a girl), don't say "oppa yigo tsajo" =P
and some of my favorite foods are:
- kimchee jigae
- kalbe (bulgogi is okay)
- seafood pancake (sorry i don't know how to say that in korean)

The seafood pancake is called "pa jeon"
And unfortunately, I am a boy.kk
"noga chincha kyoyo" means that you are very cute
and "oppa yigo tsajo" means "honey, please buy me this."
Nice Korean lecture huh?

hello fellow koreans!
lol your phrases are hilarious. you definitely picked out the important phrases people should know ;).

Dude - it's strange

you have different stats from the ones you posted on the brown uni. stats 'what are my chances' and the one you posted here.

good luck I know 7 people from my school applying to wharton.

oh and laxman!!!

you'd be surprised at how much time korean students spend on being really foolish, out of their minds.

Yelling Child O'mine, She's gone and all those other guns and roses and bonjovi and the 'never' outdated queen and abba songs under the moonlight on the roof of the school is just amazing. oh and I trust you guys all watched Harold and Kumar - my friends and I watched that right on November 1st and we went crazy :)

If we both get into penn, I'll break your stereotypes of studying Asians and nerdy asians !

That Brown stat is not mine. That is my friend's stat. And your thought that Asians are nerdy is also a stereotype! If we both get into Penn, I will also remove your stereotype about our Asian.

so many koreans applying to wharton this year... hmm..

we'll see how it turns out for all of us.

good luck -

Good luck to you ^^

ssibal! i just realized what your name meant in korean =O

shame shame on you! tsk tsk

kk you figured thaty out? Or your Korean friends did? I used it just because my usual ID was occupied by someone else. Then what does tsk means?

good luck SSIBAL ^ ^
i hope you'll get in ssibal -
