"Anyways, what are you implying when you say it's easier to meet new people at FSU? That people at USF and UF are a--holes?"

That's what the people on this board would have you believe.

You'll see one of a number of euphemisms for it though: more laid back, easier to meet people, more social, less uptight, less arrogant, better party scene, more intimate, etc. There are a lot more too.

^Not true. There are fine people in both locations. People can grow and learn. A lot of both occurs during the college years.

You will find what you expect.

You see I never really understood that sentiment. I mean if you think about it, all the students at UF and FSU essentially come from the same FL high schools and mostly come from the same socio-economic backgrounds. In my limited experience with Gainesville, the people for the most part seemed alright. Some of them might have been a bit too cognizant of their school being the best in the state (although that may be arguable) but it wasn't THAT overbearing or anything.

If it's really the case that everybody at UF is a closed-in nerd or elite Northeastern blueblood, then I seriously doubt they'd have as many incoming applications as they do.

And furthermore, I don't think USF would be nearly as bad as UF in that aspect.

Ladistar,

Before blueskymom commented (on the second page), you were speaking entirely from a negative standpoint on FSU; you were not at all "objective" when I commented last. You were commenting only about your lack of sex from "hot chicks" and the lackluster quality of the football season. Your social life would tie into this, wouldn't it?

You know nothing about me, and yet you burst out that you would be able to "cream" me in an intellectual debate. I personally have enough security in myself that I don't need to demean the intellect of others OR complain about my sex life.

I'm hoping for your sake that you're not planning to go into criminal defense law...
