I'm going to Orleanna Price myself -- how to get a 200 pt increase by Dec Sat?

If you guys have read the Poisonwood Bible you probably know what I mean. I just want to lie down in bed and not get up for a month. I'm just very sad after I got my Oct SAT results.

I'm at about the 2000 level right now, and I know 100% that I could have done better, but I want make sure I can get a 2200 or at least a 2150. I want to improve by 150 -- 200 pts. THe experimental was my best section! :[

I realized that my studying methods = not the best now, but during the summer I thought they were great. The oct test proved me wrong. :[
I used: princeton review (2 books)
Barrons
CB blue book
barrons "hot words for the sat" and 1500 words you need to know (although I did not get through all of it)
Kaplan Math
Sat Prep Vocab tapes
Various grammar books

Totally thought I was going to get a 720-740 in writing, and 750 in cr, but I got no where close. Really upset esp with CR/Writing, but I did get at 12 on the essay.

I need help with:
How do you guys get yourself 'in the zone'? And how do you guys simulate testing environments?
I took the test, and I was sooo scared. Every movement the proctor made freaked me out, she kept opening and closing the door and b/c we were in a portable every footstep she made around the classroom made "boom" noises. I'm a tad hypersensative, so that definitely affected my focus.

What books do you guys think are best for cr and math?
I'm thinking about getting Grammattix (sp?), Rocket Review...what else? I need more books b/c I'm running out of practice questions!

I plan on taking 20-30 practice tests, and reviewing them. Which books have the best practice tests besides the BB? I've done all those so they wont be accurate measures -- I can remember the questions.

I guess I shouldnt have used Princeton Review's so much. :[

My goal scores are:
730 CR
750 W
700 M

Thanks guys...I've actually been diagnosed with clinical depression, so dont say anything super mean.

lol with kaplans and princetons, u're destined to fail -.-
bro just use collegeboard materials man!
bluebook+10RS+online course+QAS = DREAM ACCOMPLISHED
it's sad that u feel this way,cuz its like all the hard work go wasted; blame non-collegeboard, those damn wannabes. it has happened to me before, and i was shocked at my results, it's so not accurate.

Hey Ren, what is 10RS?

And QAS?

it's collegeboard's 10 Real SATs:
Amazon.com: 10 Real SATs, Third Edition: The College Board: Books

(it is very helpful for CR and math, but does not have the writing section)

Oh ok thanks!

I actually have that book, but I thought because it was old it wouldnt help much.

Do you guys have any ideas for what kind of books to read for the SAT? I like to read odd books on the NY bestseller list, usually. I got a 12 on the essay, but I'm afraid when I go to take the test again I'm going to unknowingly interject some controversial topic.

i would recommend having 3 examples (history, technology, maybe personal experience) and using the same examples over and over. It works for me. Make sure you research them well.
