Im having serious roomate problems. What should I do?

I just learned this today in Physics... random... lol... You dont get sick from the cold... You get sick from being INSIDE because it's cold. All the germs accumulate, and well, you get the point. So... If there isn't a blizzard or ice storm, crack it! :)

Can't you talk to someone about getting a new roommate if it's that bad that she won't compromise?

Sounds like it's time to switch....

Are there any singles available at Utica? It seems to me that someone with asthma that is so bad that they have to inconvenience their roommate, needs to be in a single. She should probably be given preference because of her medical condition for any single slots. I have asthma and while I do like to keep the window open at night I live in Southern Calif. I went to school in Syracuse and I can't imagine keeping a window open even a crack all night in the upstate NY winter. Anyhow, ask her to think about finding out about a single. In the meantime, consider either switching rooms or investing in an electric blanket for your bed.

Have you talked directly to someone in the housing office? If you are seriously uncomfortable then it may be time to bypass your RA. Go to your housing office and talk to someone. Let them know you want to move. If that doesn't work, talk to that person's boss. I feel your pain, because temperature issues can be very serious and difficult to take physically. I am someone who is always cold, so I could never live with someone who constantly left a window open.
