I recently got accepted to Binghamton as a transfer student for Fall 2014. I fractured my foot a couple weeks and missed about 2 weeks of classes. Long story short, I finished off the spring semester with pretty bad grades--probably around a 2.4. I'm cautious of sending my final transcript because I don't want them to see my gpa for this semester and withdraw my admission, but then again I want to send it so I could get all my credits for this semester transferred over. What should I do?

You should probably stop worrying about it and simply call the school and explain. They will be sent your transcript anyway. They won’t accept you without the transcript. They may make you repeat the classes you did poorly on if you need them for your major. I doubt your overall GPA is that different from most transfers anyway.

You have to send it eventually I’d imagine. And when they receive it they’ll probably wonder why fracturing a foot would mean you had to miss 2 weeks of school…and/or not make appropriate arrangements with teachers to make up all the work you missed in a timely manner so your grades didn’t suffer. Which is sorta what I’m wondering.

I doubt a 2.4 in one semester will stick out. It’s not as if there’s a flock of transfers into the school with 4.0s from Cornell!
