Do I have to send all transcripts ?

I have done some credits outside of the U.S. at a college after high school but it didn't go well + it was not full time, I did 3 classes the first semester and 1 the second (I had some personal issues...) I failed one class and the other classes I did poorly. I am looking to start fresh at a community college, do I have to send those transcripts where I didn't do well and where it wasn't full time, and I know for sure that I won't get any credit for those classes since I did poorly and one I haven't even passed ? + they're not USA classes.

Find an independent college counselor and work with this person - he/she can give the best advice on this and your college applications in general. People here can give good advice, but they are usually not aware of the nuances of college application process. Good luck - happy to see things are improving for you. If you end up at Cornell, you will find a very supportive, understanding, helpful administration. It’s really a great place for anyone willing to try.

You do not have to disclose to the CC that you took classes anywhere else, since they are really only interested in if you are a high school graduate. The only 2 areas where I have seen this come into play are : 1) Finacial aid (if student was dismissed or defaulted, they could be “red flagged” for future aid) 2) Athletic eligibility, if a student was full time their eligibility could (at some levels) be dependent on their last full time semester grades. neither of these cases appear to apply to the OP.

@swimmer726 thank you for your advice :)

@csd : Im not yet sure if I’ll give my transcript to a cc but on Cornell’s admission website, it says they require you to send all previous transcripts…which has me worried because I wonder if they need them to calculate my gpa or just to validate requirements. I was told that the GPA they take into account is the last institution attended only…but I’m not so sure anymore. Thanks for helping:)
