I received an invite to the U-day in NYC during the beginning of the last week of March. Then I received an invite for an NYU reception in Chicago at the end of March. However, it's April 6th, and I still haven't gotten the big packet yet. Is this cause for worry or should I keep waiting? Furthermore, has anyone else been accepted but not received the big packet yet?

i haven't received anything yet

def. call.

6rings, where do you live?

just because you got an invite doesn't mean you got in. I know alot of ppl last year who got the same invite as you did but didn't get in. Better wait than get excited.

The invite says "Congratulations! Welcome to NYU". Inside it says "New York University cordially invites accepted students and their parents to attend our..(yadda yadda)". How would that not mean an acceptance?

i live in LI, but I did get an invite

You're in. People who got the same invite called the office a few weeks ago, and they clarified it by saying that everyone who got the U-Day invite got in. Yeah, I agree with Chanel_nicole... definitely call them tomorrow or something. It's late enough; they shouldn't get angry with you if you do, because it's been over a week...

I called the admissions office the day I got my u-day invite, anyone who got it is 100% definitely in.

euphoria- jw, why would they send an invite to someone they didn't admit?

oops i'm so sorry. i guess i'm speaking for some of the people last who got an invite but later found out they didn't get in. sorry if i ruined your accepance mood~ haha. CONGRATS ON GETTING IN!
