I'm in! With a 14k renewable scholarship?!

I figured I'd get in to Wooster, but they gave me an Academic Achievement Scholarship for 14k a year.. I was shocked. The maximum is 15k, and I'm not that great of a student (3.4 GPA, 31 ACT). Well, I'm excited. Anyone have any reasons why I should choose Wooster over my other schools? Thanks! x)

Idealistic--Congratulations! Don't be so hard on yourself; your GPA is fine and your ACT is excellent! ... I don't know what other schools you're considering, or what specifically you're looking for in a college. But as the mother of a Wooster freshman, I can tell you it's an amazing school in every way. That's been our experience. Plus, that scholarship money doesn't hurt!!

idalistc! congrats! i am also in. and i got 21K. as an international , i dont think it will be easy for me to cover the rest. i still wants the admission office to give me more fiancial support. can any one give me a hand on this?

congrats to idalistic amd athena

as for athena, you can always try to talk to the financial officer for more financial help. just wondering, where are you from exaclty because you're an internatinoal student?

it seems i am more lucky!
i got 22k,as for athena, you probably come from china, right?

i got 20k ... im an int'l student..i got into two other academically superior colleges but they offered me zilch..so im screw**... any1 got any suggestions...

What kind of suggestions do you want? If you got $20,000 from Wooster, it's a no-brainer. Although, if you're contemptuous of Wooster--as you seem to be--maybe you'd be better off finding an "academically superior" college. Do you even have any idea of what you're talking about?

this wat i get for bein frank ...

gnr4ever--Sorry, I shouldn't have responded that way. It's just that I know what a well-respected academic institution Wooster is. Instead of saying you got into two "academically superior schools," it might have been better to say "two better known schools." Anyway, good luck wherever you end up going, gnr4ever!
