I'm lost.. where do i go with my stats? do i have a shot at ucla? ANY advice apprecia

<p>Income: 25k-50k, My family was hit really hard by the recent recession. Subsequently, I have had to help out at my dad's office.</p>

<p>Extra Curriculars:
Planning an internship medically related during summer
Volunteered at a facility that helps mentally ill children(50+ hours)
Volunteered at hospital(100+ hours)
1 year of swimming at school
I haven't joined any school clubs... Is this going to kill me?
I guess I lack leadership qualities.</p>

<p>As you can see.. my stats are whatever.. not very competitive. Do i have a decent chance at getting into UCLA? UCSD?
What kind of colleges would fit my stats?
I am very open to any suggestions/advice.</p>

<p>You are in CA, right? Otherwise UCs will not be affordable. </p>

<p>UCLA and UCSD will be difficult with a 3.91 UC GPA. Definitely apply, but they are reaches. It would help if you were able to raise your SAT score about 100 points. You are a match at UCSB and UCD, also at CPSLO. UCSC, UCR, and UCM would be safeties.</p>
