I'm nervous about CGS

I was accepted into CGS and will most likely be going there but I have a few concerns. I called today to talk about my classes and the woman I spoke to was unsure if they would be able to accept my credits because a set curriculum is made for students who attend CGS. Also, even if they do accept them, the woman said that the last two years, when I am studying in SMG, I would have to take 4 business classes per semester which is a lot of work. I don’t mind a lot of work but the amount of stress is what is worrying me. Do any of you know if I would be able to take another business elective if they accept my AP credits? ( If they accept them, the only thing that happens is that I take one less class, which is 3 instead of 4) Please respond and help me!! BU is my dream school!

Hi!
I am a current CGS student who will next year be continuing into SMG.

One of your concerns is about taking 4 classes a semester, but taking 4 business classes is normal. Most everyone takes 4 classes, whether coming from CGS or not. And honestly, senior year is mostly devoted to concentrations, so it really wont be that bad because you’ll be taking classes you are interested in, I promise :)

In regards to your course credits problem, what courses are you trying to get credit for?

I wad called back today and was told that my euro and math credits would be taken (if i passed) but my us history would be difficult to take because it doesn’t match up with any of the classes during the first 2 years. Also, on the website, it said that euro and us were each 8 credits but the lady I spoke to said i would only be taking one less class instead of 2. Do you know anything about this?

Also! (soo many questions hahaha) I visited penn state today because my mom wants me to keep my options open and they said something really weird. I was admitted into the program and assumed that I would just be bale to decide a major. Surprisingly, I declare a major at the end of my sophomore year and in order to have a finance major, I would have to have a cumulative gpa of 3.5. Does BU have anything similar when it comes to declaring a major and having a specific gpa requirement? Do u have to maintain a specific gpa to stay in smg or in that major?? THANK YOU (:
