Im not going to lie.

I am 80 percent sure that I will be going to Cal starting spring semester. I may consider doign the fall program for freshman as well. However, I am not going to lie when i say that I am... worried/ nervous of what I will be excpeting at berkeley. None of the students in my school are going there. I might need an older cal student ot this year freshman joining cal student to chill with me until things get setted. I know people are all in the same boat. I have just decided to meet my crew early. BTW im korean. LOL and male. cheerio!

Don’t be nervous, you’ll have a great time. And so what if no one from your high school is going to Cal? You’ll be unique! And really, high school friends drift apart a lot in college.

There’s a good amount of Koreans at Cal. If you speak Korean, you’ll be able to make friends with the other Koreans quickly.

yay im korean too! But im really hesitating btwn UCLA and Cal as a pre-med student.
Letz be friends if I decide to go Cal :)

Just don’t forget to diversify!

There are like twenty Korean/Korean-American clubs (most of them having something to do with Christianity) on campus, so whether or not there are a lot of Koreans is not really pertinent because they are very visible

Hahaha.

At my high school graduation, they told us that we only see about 10% of our graduating class from that day forward…and it’s been two years…and yep. LOL. I only keep in touch with my besties from HS…good times.

Don’t worry, that’s the point of College! Getting out, finding new friends, it’s the rest of your life! [:

P.S.- Yayayaya, Kimchi pride here too! errr…I mean Korean. xDDD.

Congrats getting into Cal! [:

I traveled across the world to be at Cal, where I knew no one. I did fine, and so will you. Chill.

A lot of people go without knowing anyone

all the koreans here are like in their own circle of friends. lol .seems like all the koreans know each other. they don’t interact with non-koreans. not all but most :P

thanks all of you guys!
@ wtiger 91: we really should be friends hahah.
@ sakura: i really look forward to seeing you at berkeley haha(:

Your point is proven by post 11. Process starts even before one lands in cal.
