I'm on waiting list?

<p>I checked my status for Rutgers online application recently, and it said that I got in, but only for my second and third choice colleges.</p>

<p>My first choice college, which is Ernest Mario College of Pharmacy, the status says I'm on waiting list.</p>

<p>What exactly does that mean? How long do I have to wait to know if I got in or not?</p>

You will not get an acceptance letter until they need more people in their class</p>
