As the title suggests,i'm pretty confused about what to read to prepare for the test.I'm not good with poetry, but i like reading novels...

DONT TAKE IT. unless you’re absolutely AMAZING at critical reading and ap type questions, for whatever reason, almost no one does well on this. it has the lowest subject test score national average, i believe.

Really!?but i love literature and i love reading.I think my critical reading is pretty good.

The name of the test is slightly misleading. It doesn’t test your knowledge of literary works. It tests your comprehension and critical analysis. There is no better preparation other than being a lifelong reader.

See [SAT Subject Tests - Practice SAT Questions](http://sat.collegeboard.com/practice/sat-subject-test-preparation) and try the practice questions.

Many people do score well on this test.

Do not take this test. I took practice tests and got like a 700 on them and i think i just bombed the real thing. It’s ridiculous. Never will you ever be expected to fully comprehend literature in under 60 minutes, let alone different types of lit from different time periods. Ridiculous.
