**SAT Literature HELP!

Hey CCers.. I am considering taking the SAT Literature exam, which no one around me or no one that I've read about has taken..

My question is:

How can I prep for this? I love literature, but WHERE DO I GET THE RELEASED EXAMS?

Is it the right CHOICE for me to take it?
-I just solved the sample 23 questions on the collegeboard website and got 3 wrong, though I changed my answers and got all of them correct in the end.. I am not so sure; the website says that the actual exam has around 60 questions.. DO I HAVE A POSSIBILITY OF ACING?

What's the curve? What's the exam's reputation, what's the talk about?

Thanx in advance ! PLEASE HELP!! I give you my smiles :) :D

I took the test without studying and got a 690, which is a good score for me. The only way you can prepare, honestly, is to read. Taking AP English Lit was also good preparation for me (but I had just started the class when I took the test). There is not real study guide or anything for this test. If you’re good at analyzing literature, it isn’t that hard. If English isn’t your thing, don’t take it. But it really was simple. You just read a passage from a play or short story or a short poem and answer some questions about it.

hey i have the same question as you do… I love english lit but like…i am not really good at it… i got 680 in CR and only 670 in lit practice test with no studying…am not sure if i should pursue it…

hum… i know… well my CR was 800 but it seems that SAT 2 Lit is a whole new dimension… I do like analyzing lit and it has been my lot for quite a long time.

I’m going to take a shot at it  Thanx all !

If anyone else has more TIPS or SUGGESTIONS to make, please do!!

It’s a hard test (harder than AP Lit), but a good one. If you enjoy analyzing lit and can do so relatively quickly, and you have the skills to rock an 800 on CR, then you should go for it. It’s definitely preppable, too–there aren’t many SAT-II Lit tests around, but AP Lit MCQs are good practice as well. Best of luck! (oh, and are you in Korea? PM me if so–I may have some more specific advice)
