I'm planning to transfer over to UT and I need some advice

Hey Longhorns! I'm currently a first year undergraduate student attending Texas A&M University and I absolutely hate it here! I can go on a huge tangent about how much I dislike this school, but that's a different story. I'm hoping to transfer to UT this fall. I meet all of the requirements, but there is one concern that I have. UT requires 30 hours of transferable coursework to gain admittance. By the end of this semester I will have 46 hours completed at A&M, but 18 of those hours are due to AP credits that A&M accepted. So my question is whether or not those 18 hours, which show up on my transcript, are considered by UT. I'm pretty nervous about that because I'm pretty sure I'm going to go nuts if I have to stay another semester here. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

If both colleges accept the scores you got on the tests as credits/hours, then the transfer will go through.

@macattack13 I’m on the same boat, I don’t go to A&M, but I also plan to transfer into UT next fall and 18 of my hours are for AP exams. UT counselors told me that as long as I send my scores to my current school and have them posted on my transcript once I apply for transfer, UT will take them!
