Hey all recently UC santa cruz sent me a letter that if i get a grade lower than a C or my overall performance drops.. they will cancel my admission. They sent this letter because i reported a D grade in Calculus BC.
now that was a close one, but now i have another problem.....
the AP tests. im taking 3 right now and i know i will get a 1 or 2 score on those.
my question is.. will this be the last straw and they take away admission?

First, you appear to feel bad so I’ll restrain with the WTH where you thinking?!? Did you get that D raised in Calc BC? If not, the AP tests really don’t matter. If you have, call the UCSC admissions and ask. Better to know. You can ask here, and there is a wealth of knowledge, but on the off chance that you unknowingly get incorrect information, you could be in a pickle. Better to peel your palm off your face and make the call.

Good luck. I’m really hoping for the bump in the grade, AP scores higher than you think, and a positive answer from UCSC! :)

hey blueiguna
thanks for the reply.
i already called ucsc a while ago and they said i cant get a grade lower than a C . That D is set in stone im sure. There is just one more semester left and i think ill be able to get at least a B for this semester.

@the Ap scores higher than i think…
hehe im not too confident i got a 1 on the practice test. and i didnt do so well on the govt. either

OMG lol. It sucks when all the other korean kids are doing good and im the only one who is having trouble.

Okay, I’m rereading your post now… They already knew about a previous D… you have brought that up to a B. Great job!
From what I understand an admission is not rescinded for scores on AP tests during the Sr. year. Call and confirm with your admissions office. Don’t tell them you think you’re going to get a 1! Ask them if your admission is riding on a certain score on your AP tests or if they are recorded only if you are seeking credit.

btw, I’m laughing at your last comment, but give yourself a break. You are an individual, not a country. This is the same as being shocked at a high score from a non Korean… not cool, eh? You do your best for yourself, that’s plenty of weight to bear. Don’t put the weight of preconceived ideals on yourself!
Peace

You can just NOT send them your AP Scores. They’re never a requirement.

Just never send them and if they ask about them say “I decided not to submit them.”

Just so you know, there has never been a documented case, on CC or otherwise, of a college rescinding based on AP scores.

so i shuld just not submit my scores?(not cancel)
and IF they ask ill give it to em
