this week i got my test back and i did so poorly :< pre-cal i got an 86 and 92,(my average may not even be in the 90 areas) ,and ap chem i got a 65 and 72 (all hundreds on the quiz) but my average may be same as pre cal...... not even in the 90 areas......... and physics,i have only an 80 somethings.............(no hope of going to any elite schools.......)

Stop being overdramatic; a test is just a test. Study harder next time, ask for help if you need some, and do all of the homework. Take a bad experience and do something productive with it.

You're sad because you have Bs? I guess I understand why you feel that way, but please don't be. It's just a letter. Some people are struggling to get Bs (one of my friends stays up until like, 2 a.m. and she's barely getting Bs; another is literally failing precalc and chemistry--and she's an intelligent, extraordinary person).

Good colleges accept applicants with 3-point-something GPAs anyway, so shush! :)

but most of the colleges that im looking for are ''prestigious'' that applicants need like a 3.8 GPA (at least) .......im afraid that Bs in this first marking period will break my chances.....

Uh, I've gotten one B in HS so my unweighted GPA is a 3.98. Not too shabby

You might as well start looking at a community college.

You shouldn't be in precalc and AP Chem.

isn't the grade that goes on you report card the average of all you marking period grades? So I don't think you should really worry too much since you still have a lot of the school year to go.

I'm sorry, would you like me to find a McDonalds sponsor for you?

Hey, I ~33's on almost every single one of my AP Physics tests last year, and I'm salutatorian! Bahahahahah.
There are some extreeeeemely helpful responses on here, listen to them instead of me :D

bwahahahaha you're so mean.

You know I was thinking today, maybe I should reconsider where I stand. Maybe I'm not smart enough or talented enough for a selective college. Then I realized that whether or not I was qualified, or where I should apply, is really trivial to everyday life and I should just do my best.

AP Physics is my problem at the moment.... I'm resigned to the fact that my 1st semester average is either going to be a B or (EEK!) a C.

Learn that

1 B (or maybe a couple) won't kill you

A 790 won't kill you

A 4 (or 3) won't kill you

Life goes on

2. A 790 won't kill you

but a 790 in Math IIC? Ahh! I feel so stupid ..89% :(

Meadow36, it's not a 790 in Math that makes you look stupid, it's complaining about a 790 in math.

yeah I guess. but if you go the Caltech forum their like it'd be red flag if you didn't have an 800...yeah I should probably get over it, although some people think I should retake...probably not going to since I'd probably look like score-freak...

I can imagine CB giving scores in the future like 555 and people coming on CC and asking "799--retake?"

Dude that would be detrimental because people like me would actually GO for cool scores like 666.

666 is overrated. 777 epic ftmfw.

Retake it meadow...Caltech with spit on your application, burn it, and then reject you if you have a 790 on Math IIC!
