Im so scared, that my admission got revoked

So, I was accepted into Virginia tech's engineering program, and I didn’t think much of it since I got into other good engineering programs such as Purdue, Georgia tech and Ncstate. But when I visited it I fell in love with it and I committed to it. But this senior year hasn’t been going so well, I’ve been making C's in my most important classes such as AP calculus(82) , AP physics(83), and Honors Spanish 3(80)especially this one). The weird thing is I was not even supposed to take honors Spanish 3 I was supposed to take Honors Chemistry, they messed up my schedule. I felt confident on my two AP exams and it is an AP after all. However the matter of Spanish 3 is I have a very bad teacher, she teaches us new information the day prior to a quiz or major test, so none of us have time to understand it, and a lot of people usually fail her class or get bad marks(which is why some students are trying to get her fired). But I just found out I would fail the quarter(60-69) just because she thinks I cheated on an essay, because I told the truth about using Google translator on ONE sentence in the conclusion of my essay. I thank god she did not give me a referral. In all 4 of my other classes I have B’s (no A's :( ) and my GPA after the first semester went from a 3.3 to a 3.2(which I don’t think is bad) and I got into VT with an SAT score of 1810. This year I’m freaking out, I have never gotten a C till this year and I have DEFINATELY never failed a class before. I don’t think its all senioritis’s fault (my case is very mild), its just bad luck. My question is will Virginia tech revoke my admission? I worked so hard to get here and I don’t want to see it crumble to dust. If more information is needed to determine if my admission will be revoked I will gladly provide it. And I feel like college will be so much easier for me because it will help me to manage my time much better, in high school there’s so much to do with so little time with too much distractions. Thank you for your time

Take a breath. Speak to your GC and find out what grades are reported on your final transcript. Rarely are quarter grades reported, sometimes semester grades are listed, however most often only the final grades are listed. You need to find out what will be reported. If semester grades are listed is there a significant drop between first and second semester, or do you have a D or F? If so any of these need to be explained, preferably before VT gets the final transcript and asks you to explain. Being proactive, letting them know what happened, and what your plan for success next year is going to be your best bet. If final grades only are reported, is there a significant drop from the grades when you applied, or a D or F? Again, if so you’ll need to address this. I would not recommend blaming a difficult teacher. You will have many in college.

You also need to know college is NOT going to be easier. If you’ve had a hard time managing your time, you are likely to have a difficult time in college…there are far more distractions and fewer safety nets. You will need to make academics a priority, seek help when you need it, and take responsibility. VT engineering is an outstanding program but no one is going to hold your hand and the weed-out process can be brutal.

Good luck.

thank you for the advice. and are there anyways to better my time management, because now im nervous about that…but once again thank you…I feel so much better.

No worries. Time management isn’t rocket science…it’s a matter of setting priorities which is going to be difficult when you don’t have teachers and parents chasing after you. You will have a lot more free time. You will need to set goals to get your work done without procrastinating. It sounds easy, but with the sudden freedom it is hard for a lot of freshman. Look into these support programs at VT for first year students, specifically engineers. There should be more information at orientation and again when you move in.
