<p>Oh freak yeah that mass spec worksheet was a beast! Totally made the 3AL worksheet look like Disneyland. But back to 3B, Pedersen is so overrated. He is a good professor, but not a god like many people make him out to be. Having to get up for 8am in Pimentel and not posting his notes is not really making him my favorite professor. It seems that people who had Pedersen for 3A LOVE him for 3B, but it seems that many who had Frechet don’t really think he is all that.</p>

<p>i’m not in 3BL, so i’m still digging it, i think pedersen is pretty damn good at lecturing</p>
<p>Omg yes that worksheet was terrible. And my GSI pretty much refused to help us at all until the last 30 mins when everyone was freaking out and had no idea what to do.</p>
<p>And Pedersen is pretty awesome. It’s the one morning lecture I plan on never skipping.</p>
<p>why is pederson so awesome? His lectures aren’t anything special and it’s a hassle trying to write down what’s on the board and what’s he’s saying at the same time.</p>
<p>i think the way he organizes his lectures makes things really clear, he also is just good at explaining things imo. i usually just try to dissect the main points of what he’s saying (as opposed to what is on the board) and jot that down.</p>
<p>You don’t write down the molecules on the board O_o?</p>
<p>The only thing I dislike is that he can go fast sometimes. Other than that he’s like that serious uncle who doesn’t know he’s funny. </p>

<p>Well you don’t need to draw all the structures really… he gives you the names you can just google them later (like the NADPH today). Just focus on writing down everything he says when analyzing the reactions or trends or whatever. You’ll probably understand why people like his teaching methods after you see what the midterms are like.</p>

<p>has anyone who has taken 3b with pedersen before know how hard is first midterm is? what the typical mean, std-dev?</p>
<p>i’ve heard his tests usually have a mean of 75, which is pretty high compared to other orgo profs…</p>
