UC GPA: 3.81
SAT: 1790
SAT Biology E subject test: 640
Quite a few AP's and extracurriculars

Since I didn't get supplements, should I assume that I am on the lower end and will probably be rejected? If so, please be honest. I would just like to put my mind at ease.

Really can’t say without knowing your major (1st and 2nd choices) and also how well you did on your personal statements.

I’m on the opposite side of the spectrum as you: low UC GPA (3.47), high SAT (2110), and a boatload of impressive extracurriculars. No supplement here either.

I applied for Public Health as my first choice. Earth and Environmental Science is my second choice. I think my essays were at least mediocre.

Hopefully the people who read our applications were generous.

My son got supplements from UCLA and Berkeley but not Irvine, so who knows what is going on??!!

Supplements don’t mean anything in terms of acceptances/rejections.
Some UC’s send out supplements because 1) you’re on the “border” or 2) they want additional information/clarification.

I know many people who were on the border and did not get supplements but got accepted into UCI last year. I wouldn’t worry at all! I’d say about half the people who get a supplement are accepted and half rejected. It doesn’t mean anything about whether you’ll be admitted or not. Good luck! I’d say you have a decent shot.

Thank you everyone :)

My daughter just received an email today to complete a supplemental. She applied as a Business major.

My son completed/submitted his supplement on 3/1, he hasn’t received any response from UCI as of tonight. He applied as a Biology major.
He’s been accepted into:
SDSU
Cal Poly SLO
CSUF
