I’m a junior in high school, and I’m going to be taking 3 AP courses, APUSH, AP Lang, and AP Calc AB. Though I know I can handle these classes academically, I get really stressed during the year about my classes. I’m taking honors classes otherwise, and I run cross country along with other clubs. Last year I took AP World and I was stressed enough even though I was only taking one. Also, I saw this post where a freshman was taking 6 AP classes and planning on taking 25, so this question might be silly to ask, but I need help anyway. Thank you!
As long as you stay organized, you should be fine!
Since you took AP World last year, were you able to utilize AP prep books? If so then perhaps you found a book suitable for your learning style but if not I would recommend the Barron’s book for all 3 of these classes as they are super helpful to review throughout the year and the practice tests help you solidify the knowledge and overall as Victoria mentioned staying key is crucial to surviving Junior year.
Hi! I am a freshman taking 6 AP classes and planning on taking 25 lol. I used to get stressed out REALLY easily too! I took AP Psych last year and even though it is really easy I was freaking out. I am taking all of the classes you just listed now( except I am doing Calc BC) and I think if you have a good system you should be fine. With APUSH, you should get the No Bull APUSH prep book. It is AMAZING! I love it so much and now I have a 100 in the class because of it. For AP lang, you just have to really stay on top of all the work because it can really pile up quickly. Just as soon as you get an assignment, start working on it like asap. Lastly, for AP Calc, I really like the Barron’s book and I highly recommend it. However, the Princeton Review was sooooooo bad lol I really hated it. Just do LOTS of practice questions!
