I have A's in all my classes except for Math, im going to drop Honors Pre-Calc tomorrow to get an A in regular, my GPA will turn out to be 4.6 (W) 4.0 (UW)

Anyways, i have all honors/ap classes right now and A's in all of them except math, which im struggling on.

Should i go to the regular and get an A, or stay in honors to get a B and possibly risk a C?

Will this look bad on college apps that im downgrading? (i've been taking all honors math courses but always ended up with B's)

Will it be good compensation if i use the free time from regular pre-calc to self study 3 AP's,better SAT score, and do more EC's? (As opposed to spending significant amounts of time laboring on Honors Pre-Calc)

I was in the same position as you. I chose honors both sophomore and junior year, and it was a mistake. B- one year and C+ junior. I really regret it b/c my Uw gpa would be 3.85ish right now but instead it’s at 3.6 and I may be out of the top 10%. I wish I’d just realized that one honors class (especially in a field I have no interest of participating in in college) won’t make or break the college I get accepted to.

if you get A’s in every other class, then hell yeah, STAY in honors

I have the same issue. I am soooo weak at math. Pretty good at everything else. Recently (since last yr) I have been busting my but to get all A’s which I have including math well 2 A’s in two semesters and two B’s and the last two, but either way, if you dont think you can handle then drop it. ONE reg core class won’t kill you. Especially if you get an A in it.
