Pre-Calculus Sorrows

Hi,

I fear as though I've essentially murdered my chances at any decent schools after receiving a 'C' grade in Pre-Calculus Honors.

With the 'C,' my stats have only marginally changed.

GPA: 3.7ish
Rank: 11/397

Can I get in anywhere?

I think it has a lot to do with what you plan to major in later on. If it is math intensive, it might give the college second thoughts on accepting you. But if math isn't going to be too involved in your future career and your other stats could show the C as a fluke, it might not be that bad. Also, do you mean a C as a semester average or what? If it isn't, you still have a chance to bring it up to a B and save yourself...

if you get a C then what you could do is do really well in your upcoming math classes like AP Cal or AP Stat

i have the same problem. i'd always been a B+/A math student until pre-calc this year, where i've struggled to keep a C. don't worry too much about it, one bad grade in one class won't kill you.

C will hurt you if you are going for UBER selective schools. but..really, if say you want to major in history...they aren't going to penalize you really.
