iMac or Macbook

which one should I buy?

i think iMac right now looks pretty nice....tight pretty and the price is cheaper than Macbook..can anyone give any insights into iMac and Macbook?

The iMac's pretty nice but if you're headed to a college dorm, i'd stick with the Macbook. The iMac is pretty heavy to lug around.

It all depends on your need for the portability. If you need it for classes and such then I suggest you get the macbook. However, my brother has an imac and it's actually pretty light and easy to move around from room to room. So, if you do decide to get imac then you wont have something to hard to move around because the monitor and computer are attached.

um ones a desktop and ones a laptop so what do you need?
And what will you be using it for?

For general use get the mac mini for desktop or ibook for laptop. My complete mac mini setup with 19" veiwsonic monitor and wireless keyboard/mouse was under $800. They are selling $699 ibooks here http://www.macmall.com/macmall/families/ibook/.

If you are a graphic design, digital media, film, etc. student or just a creative person G4's can be had for cheap check ebay. If you looking for something cheap of the newer kind the iMac maxed out with ram would be good or the refurbed $899( I believe thats the price) intel core duo black macbook apple was selling. *Note: sometimes the stuff they sell in the refurb section is just overstock
