Considering the app is due in hours, I decided to post this question. I am from the east coast and I am having troubles matching the honors status to the system UC uses. There are 3 levels of classes in my county - regular, honors, and gt/ap. The AP classes are surely not a problem to input, but there is a big difference between "honors" and "gt." Currently, I have given my honors and gt courses "honors" status. Should I specify in the course title which are gt classes? Should I give my honors classes the UC "honors level" status? Thanks for the help.

What does "GT" mean? As to your question, they will realize that they are advanced, and may be familiar with your system, so don't worry too much. At the very least put honors and they will know that you took courses more advanced than most.

GT means gifted and talented. So do you think I should put this label in the course description. Especially for freshman year since I am not allowed to use the "honors level" label.

Well, that is tough. I guess you should at the very least write it in the description of the course and exclude the title "Honors" because in Ca certain honors classes aren't "honors" for the uc gpa system.

Alright cool thanks

No problem. Good luck.

I thought we could designate Honors 9th grade courses if we're out of state?

I dont think so. I believe no 9th grade courses may be considered honors level.

i don't know . . . perhaps. I'm not the one to ask. Sorry.
