Yale Fail! Haha that's actually a really good one, too! XD

... and of course by "really good," I mean "really good in a really bad kind of way". I'd rather that there not be a Yale Fail, but eh, the name is funny. :)

I HATE WAITING!

I dont want to do other apps....

I cant sleeeeeep.

:( The Stanford Slaughter makes me sad. It actually scares me...

Thank the lords i'm URM :P

Yay Affirmative Action? ;)

Oh no, not this thread too!

AA always brings out way too many heated arguments/accusations. :P I hope this one doesn't degenerate into another AA debate thread -.-

I'm thinking about 12-14% overall and 15-20% on CC.
It's going to be brutal... :( Why didn't we just wait until march?

15-20% on CC still only means 12 to 16 people from the Pledge list.

Oh gawd....D:

Gee, well that's not depressing at all :P

Look at it this way.

Aren't yall happy yall weren't Stanford applicants?

At least the Bulldog Bloodbath is still only imminent and has not happened yet.

Nothings definite yet, so be happy :)

I heard the Stanford rejection email was like two lines long: "We regret to inform you that you were not admitted into Stanford University's Class of 2013." ... or something to that effect.

That's cold. >:T

the rejection email was pretty long. but its overall message was crap. basically- sorry, you were qualified, but we didnt want you

I have pretty much lost ALLLLLL hope in getting an acceptance ..or maybe even a deferral. Seriously, seeing day after day of endless rejection/deferral makes me super depressed, argh. And doesn't help that one of my friends got into Penn today and is rubbing it in our face. I wish we just had our decisions so I could take the weekend to get over it. I hope Yale on Monday isn't a repeat of Stanford, which judging by the trends ..

Ah I know we shouldn't freak out about this, we should just wait til Monday to see if it's really THAT bad, but it's hard not to after seeing the stanford threads. Multiple people with qualifications magnitudes above mine were flat out rejected... and not just one or two of them.

I heard Yale doesn't do rejections on early action.

Yale DOES reject on early action; and if they follow the trend of elite schools this year, they'll be rejecting a LOT. :/

!@£* me :(

and another vote for the alliterative Bulldog Bloodbath

Yale does reject, but does more deferrals.

I started to lose hope for Yale on Thursday when my friends got into Columbia. I decided that to retain all sanity, I need to be expecting the worst (which I'm hoping is a deferral, which probably translates into a rejection).

Whatever, Stanford always rejects a ridiculous number of people EA. Yale isn't as hardcore about rejecting. Mad deferrals, obviously, but we're not all going to get rejected.

Yeah, Stanford doesn't really do deferrals. Yale doesn't really do rejections EA.

So it makes sense that a lot of good applicants don't get in SCEA.

The Yale picture should look better. We are also a lot more qualified as a group than the whole of SCEA, so we should have a higher acceptance rate on CC than in general.

"so we should have a higher acceptance rate on CC than in general"

I could go with some twisted logic here and reason that joining CC increased my chances of getting into yale :D

(knock on wood) This is something we could be telling our grandchildren..

Ah, I remember it well, the Yale Massacre back in '08...
