^^Summer dresses are usually around knee-length or higher.

I disagree…

^^Yeah, I was talking about knee length dresses. I don’t see why you would have to cross your legs unless there was someone sitting on the floor.

Oh no, I mean I disagree with “summer dresses > jeans”.

I really like jeans and never wear dresses when I don’t need to.

^ I was talking about shorter summer dresses in which you have to either cross or keep your legs close together. What if you are sitting on a bench? Unless you want to flash people with your underwear, you can’t sprawl your legs everywhere like jeans.

summer dresses:
I absolutely love them! They’re comfortable and cute. Mine are a couple inches above the knee.
@collegestress: That wind scenario doesn’t happen If you hold the side of your dress :b

jeans:
I also absolutely love them! They’re good for the winter and cold days. They’re comfortable…I only own skinny jeans though…I have no flares or bootcut…but I have LOTS of skinny jeans! :)

sweatpants:
I’ll wear them at home but I can’t wear them out…they make me feel like a slob…

shorts:
ARE THE BESTTT(:

shorts>jeans>dresses>skirts>summer dresses

^that was hard. I love them all :)

^^Yeah, above the knee that would be a problem. Although it’s funny that you give an example of on a beach, because on beaches most people wear a lot less than a short dress.

^ Hunh? LOL I said bench

^Know any good opticians? :(

Girls in summer dresses + sweatpants = <3.

Haha, the more time I spend doing music for dancers the more I have come to appriciate the sweatpants look…

^I’m the only girl at dance who never wears sweatpants. They all make fun of me for dressing nicely.

^ Haha, never would’ve taken you for a bunhead XD
Wait if you don’t wear sweatpants in dance what do you wear?

^I wear ballet skirts sometimes. Shorts. But mostly, I just wear my leotard and tights with nothing else, or with a jacket. I wear sweats constantly at home (I have them on right now), but I feel grody in them in public.

^ I suppose that makes sense…

I usually wear jeans.

My opinion on this changes, it depends on what the day feels like.

Ahh! I just remembered what type of dresses I was talking about: Cocktail Dresses…those are the one’s that are knee length or usually slightly shorter.

^ I agree girls do look AMAZING in cocktail dresses

Most dresses/skirts in general are short. I rarely see anyone in dresses longer than mid- to 3/4-thigh; then again, I live in Southern California. It may be different elsewhere.

Dresses are cute, but imo jeans are just as easy and convenient. You can do whatever you want in jeans, but in dresses you need to worry about how you’re sitting or walking on stairs. Maybe “irl” I’d wear dresses more often, but for my high-school environment, I find jeans/shorts to be easier. If you want compliments, I agree dresses are better and more “uncommon” than jeans. I for one don’t take compliments well, so jeans are a go. :)
