Impact on class withdrawal

As the title states, I am in a situation where I have no choice but to withdraw this class due to many reasons. One being that we got a sudden professor change because the initial professor decided to resign. This wouldn't be much of an issue if the new replacement professor knew what he was talking about and didn't expect us to read an entire book in 2 days. Simply put, he is a huge mess.

Would having a "W" on my transcript be a major problem when looked by potential employers?

What kind of an effect can this have on me in the long-run?

Are withdrawals a sin or can having 2 or 3 in the entire transcript acceptable?

Thank you.

Had one “W” on the transcript. All other grades were fine. Never came up.

It won’t matter. Just pass the class next time.

Probably won’t matter. Ws usually don’t interfere with your GPA and you don’t normally have to send transcripts in until after you have the job. As long as you don’t have like 10 of them I doubt it’ll be an issue. Grad school might be a bit different, but again, I doubt just a few will be an issue.

You’ll be fine. I had to withdraw from a whole quarter due to personal reasons and was never asked about it.
