You have a very very very impressive resume. I would be shocked if you didn’t get into most, if not all of your schools. Harvard and Yale are reach schools for just about every applicant, but I would say I’m about 90% sure that you’ll get in.

Keep up the good work! :)

There’s a lot of disinformation from the other posters, so I’d like to clarify, but first…
Tres bien! Hen hao!
Your profile is very strong, great test scores, solid academics, and good, diversified extra curriculars. My only issue is that only one of your activities even vaguely relates to business, but selecting international studies or something of that sort for the time being would help show that you have focus.
Now, the issue is that this profile does not exactly stand out among many applicants to HYPSM and similarly powerhouse schools. You are clearly very motivated, dedicated, and intelligent individual among the Harvard freshman class, persay, who isn’t? I am quite confident you will get into at least one Ivy, if not multiple. I definitely believe the others who posted here are far underestimating the difficulty of getting into a top-tier institution, but perhaps that is due to my pessimistic tendencies. Nonetheless, I’d say that you’re a reach at everywhere except Georgetown, Duke, UChicago, and the UCs, though a relatively low reach at Brown and Columbia. I certainly hope all goes well for you, and don’t forget: for someone of your capacity, the sky’s the limit!

dang ur chance post is hella impressive id be surprised if u didnt get into most if not all of them

thanks guys!

@gracemarie

chance me back

okay. so essentially, i’m major impressed/intimidated. basically p’ton has a 27% acceptance rate for perfect sat scores, and yours dont seem to really be too far off from that. if you apply as a language major (you can switch as soon as you get in, that’s what i’m going to do with poly sci to econ b/c my activities), you have a very very very good chance at all the HYPSM etc… schools

You have an extremely good chance at them all. Ivy’s get tricky sometimes, even when highly qualified sometimes they go either way, so I’d still rank them as a reach, but certainly a low one. For linguistics especially, you seem a shoo’in.

thanks guys!!
anyone else?? bumpppp

bumpp?please

Damn, that’s one impressive resume! Here’s my take on it:

Yale (SCEA): Low-Mid Reach (write excellent essays!!)

Harvard: Low-Mid Reach. Well, you know Harv. One thing Harvard really likes, from what I’ve heard, is political activism. If you spin your Harv supplement in that direction, you might get adcoms to notice you right off the bat. Or just make your personality shine.

MIT: Mid reach. Your ECs aren’t really compatible with MIT’s ethos, but your SATs definitely make you a competitive candidate.

Penn: Low reach. Excellent chance. 40-55%

Columbia: High Match. 50-61%

Brown: Impossible to chance. Some dude at our school had a 32 ACT got in; some guy with a 35 ACT didn’t. Neither one was hooked and neither was recruited for athletics. They have the most random admissions system. Write good, intellectual essays and have strong, vivid recommendations.

Georgetown SFS: Match. 75%.

Dartmouth: Low/Mid Reach

Duke: High Match. 65%.

University of Chicago: Difficult to chance. 50-90%. UChicago cares about personality and essays. You’re in control of this process at UChicago; write good essays. This is crucial.

UC Berkeley, USC, and UCLA: Low Match/Safety: 90-100%

Stanford: Mid Reach. Don’t know too much about Stanford.

Chance me plz!!

Even though I agree that ivies are a crapshoot for the best of the best even, i think you have a decent chance at HYPSM. If you dont get into the other ones especially with good essays tje world will be a crazy place. Not that it isnt
