M&T ED Deferred ===> M&T RD Accepted

hey,

I was wondering to know if it's possible?
Has anybody ever got deferred (ED) from his/her first dual degree choice (suppose he/she didn't wanted ED binding for his/her second choice), and then got accepted into that same dual degree first choice program later???

I wanted to know if I don't get into M&T early, will i have a second chance for M&T later? i really need to know the answer, because i really want to get into penn but i don't want to reduce my chance at M&T by getting in early into my 2nd choice...

Hey there. I was deferred from M&T when I applied back in fall 2011; I was later rejected from M&T but accepted into SEAS. Based on the fact that I was deferred from M&T and not my first choice school, I am assuming that I was again considered for the program in the regular decision round (but then finally rejected and considered for the engineering school).

That said, I believe it is possible to be rejected from M&T in the ED round and admitted to the first choice school. In this case, I believe it is also non-binding. You could always call Penn admissions to clarify and confirm.
