Hi,

Yes.

Wouldn't that make sense?

i guess but my counselor said i have to put the cumulative GPA but I dont trust her. what did others do?

I would think that the cumulative GPA has to be sent, not just your GPA from 2 marking periods.

id say cumulative. because it then asks for your class rank, and class rank by one semester would be stupid. also they ask for the letter or number grade for each class, and im pretty sure they know how to calculate semester grade from those. so i say go with cumulative.

I agree ^^^^

Well, it depends how your school marks...for example, we get one average per semester and no cumulative averages. So in that case, I would only indicate my current GPA--after all, they have all my other GPAs up to that point...

What did others do?

My son put in his new cum, although we are on accelerated block here--so that reflects four final grades.

Our H.S. sends in the grades from Senior midyear, and finals, and the cumulative GPA; and wherever D is required to send in that information herself, she will do likewise.

You know, its amazing any of this gets sorted out. My son entered 2nd quarter grades for the year-long courses that don't get a semester grade, semester (final) grades for the semester long courses, and the cum GPA (which only added on the semester courses to the existing cum). Heaven knows what guidance sent.

well here is the response I got from the admissions office:Either is fine -- you can just make a note as to which one you are
reporting. If your grades have gone up and you want to highlight that,
it may be a better idea to report just your senior year.

what does term mean on the midyear report. Does that mean their asking which semester or which marking period?
