Important Q regarding Recommendations

For the two required recommendations with the Common Application, I have three teachers in mind. One is my AP French teacher, and he will certainly be one of my choices. However, I am having difficulty deciding upon who to ask for the other spot. One is my 11th grade English teacher, and the other is my 11th grade AP Psychology teacher. I know both teachers well, my english teacher more informally than my psych teacher. Would it be a disadvantage to have a recommendation from a non-AP teacher? Should I have both recommendations come from AP teachers? Any help is appreciated.

The tipping factor would be which teacher can cite one or two compelling anecdotes which show your classroom performance, leadership and initiative. If you feel you really shined in a particular project and it sticks in the mind of one teacher (who can then write about it sensibly), then choose him/her.

You should have recommendations from teachers who know you best, not only your work ethic, but your personality, how you interact with other students, and so forth. Basically, don't pick the teachers simply because they teach you in an AP level course.

Okay, thank you for the advice.
