I'm taking a bus which arrives in Charlottesville on Wednesday night(orientation is Thursday and Friday) and departs on Saturday morning. Therefore I would need overnight accommodations for 3 days. I don't think the college would provide me with this and I would have to stay at a hotel right which doesn't fit in too well with my family's current financial situation.

Another orientation session which is full would allow me to need only 2 nights accommodations due to the bus schedules. Would I be able to get two nights accommodations from the college? Should I call them and ask them to change it?This option would have me arriving at 12:00 a.m in my town which I wanted to avoid

What should I do?

Call the orientation office, they may be able to help you. If you can change sessions, I would.
Also, there are a ton of people staying in C'ville for the summer. You could try posting to one of the boards or Craigslist to see if you could just bum a couch.

If it will be a problem, you can ask come in for the last summer orientation session and explain to them your situation. Currently, it is only open to international students and Americans living abroad, but I'm sure they'll have no problem accommodating you.

Alternatively, I would suggest contacting one of the summer orientation leaders or calling their office. All the information you need is on U.Va. Orientation

I recommend speaking to one of these people. Tim helped me over the phone with an orientation problem and I met Ms Enoch at orientation. Both are really nice and very helpful.
