Important! Transcripts, Teacher Evaluations and School Reports

Okay. Look, Here's how I am thinking to do my offline stuff done altogether. Tell me if I need to something else or Am I doing something wrong. [Anialways] If you're reading this, please reply, you really have some powerful brains up there.

Transcripts:

9th and 10th: A CCE marksheet from CBSE. Going to get it's attested copies from USIEF.
11th: A tabular description on A4 sheet, showing final marks and grades, subjects and exam date. Attested by the school principal with stamp.
12th: (A marksheet + Provisional certificate + Migration certificate) Everything's provided by examination board. Going to get it's attested copies from USIEF.

School Reports:

I changed my school in 12th, So I would get all my school report stuff done from counselor of my former school. Because it's better to get stuff from people who know me from several years than just one year. Get it filled up, make photocopies, signature from counselor.

Teacher Evaluations:

I would be getting 3 evaluations, that may help in forming a clear picture of me in front of Adcoms. My counselor will get those from the teachers. So, single sheets filled by teachers, their signature respectively. Counselor will make photocopies and sign all of them afterwards.

Arrangement/Order:

USIEF 9th and 10th Marksheet Envelope: Attested CCE Marksheet.

USIEF 12th Marksheet Envelope: Attested 12th Marksheet, Migration and Prov. Certificate.

A4 envelope with School stamp and counselor signature at seal area: Containing; Teacher Evaluations, School Report, 11th Transcript and final report.

After getting all this in my hand, I would put these sealed envelopes in a big packet and send it by myself to the colleges. Since my counselor doesn't want to get into shipping stuff and things.

Now the questions:

Am I doing all this right?

Is there anything missing?

My counselor said, He would be signing all the photocopies of recos, teacher evaluations and school reports, It that enough or is school stamp required?

1.No
2.No
3.Yes

quiverfox, your answers are to which three questions, the arrangement order or the last three questions…

Ok here is what I think, the 9/10/11 grade report cards need to be attested only by the current School.

You have the liberty to choose the teacher you want to write your LORs.

Also make sure the requirement of documents of the college that you are applying to are in order. So if it requires 2 teacher and one Counsellor recommendation/ 3 teacher and one Counsellor recommendation, keep it that way. The adcoms have to deal with huge amount of paperwork, so strictly keep that to required minimum. It also reflects on the
fact that you are capable of following instructions.

School stamp is required.

And I would suggest making a single page transcript as well. Makes it really easy to assess you at a glance, your grades as well you versus the rest of your class, your subject, years of study, your strengths… The attested report cards are sent to verify what you write on the transcript.

Okay. Gottcha!

But here comes the problem. I did my 9th, 10th and 11th from a CBSE school but 12th from NIOS. (NIOS isn’t a homeschooling system, though it’s more like distance learning thing).

I can not get any teacher evaluations, school reports or even attestation. All they are going to give me is an original copy of Report Card/Marsheet, Provisional Certificate and Migration Certificate/TC. That’s all from their side.

So, I would only be able to get all that stuff done from my former school and the report card attestation from USIEF. I don’t think there is any other way.

@Anialways: Do you have any better idea on how should I do all that? :frowning:
This is really stressful. I just don’t want to mess up my whole application.

Thank you!

Get your 12 grade certificates attested by a Gazetted Officer or USIEF. That should be good enough. And don’t worry if the colleges need extra clarification they will get back to you.

And sure you get teacher evaluations from the last school that you attended. And that holds true for school stamp and signature on 9/10/11 grade report cards as well. And maybe the same School’s Principal can be your Counsellor as well.

That sort of makes sense. Thank you, Anialways. :’) You’re a good person.

@ Alien515
hi, I’m an international student and kinda facing the same situation as you are. So, are you going with the ‘arrangement/order’ that you mentioned above ? Is it okay if I send it by myself after making it official by attesting ?

@quiverfox… a bit more detailed answer would be rather helpful.

Edwood09: I contacted the Education Board and they are willing to attest the Certificates. They told me that this is legal to get attestation from them, as legal it is to get transcripts of any correspondence course from any college or university.

They are going to fill the forms and attest the certificates so I’m probably not going to go true all that I mentioned earlier.

Yes, you can do that. Do get the envelope sealed by Official Authority who’s attesting. Then you can send the documents by yourself. Hope this makes sense.
