I applied to Rutgers NB. I found out last night that I was waitlisted for arts and sciences as well as environmental and bio sciences. It seems a little ridiculous to me that I was not admitted honestly, although I'm right in the average. (1650 SAT and 3.541 GPA). However, I have always been in honors classes and AP classes and know people who were admitted, with higher GPA but regular level classes. I'm jus trying to get some feedback to see if there is ANY way I can boost my chances still and be admitted (soon). Or is there anyone who was waitlisted and then accepted that would want to tell me their credentials? I'm just very confused and would like some opinions. Thanks.

Since you are waitlisted you will be competing for slots with the RD students. You will have to wait until near the end of Feb with everyone else to find out your results. If you have additional info (awards, etc) you can forward that to bolster your application.

I heard I wouldn’t hear back until may? I’m very confused. Not sure how knowledgable of the university you are, but does it seem like I’d be admitted?

Hi I just recently got wait listed to Rutgers Arts and Science too. I have a 3.04 gpa and an 1800 SAT score and a 720 on my math SAT 2. I know I have to send in my Mid year report and my grades are all A’s and B’s for the first semester of Senior year. I just have one problem which is that most schools require applicants to finalize their schools by May 1st and for RU if you are wait listed they will tell you after May 1st. I really want to go to Rutgers and i want to know what my chances are of getting in and what i can do to increase my chances of getting accepted from the waiting list.

I spoke to an admissions counselor and basically there’s nothing we can do to help our chances. She said all we could do to helpwas maintain good grades and send in our mid year report. Interviews are not considered. this sucks

I think you will get in eventually. Please post back and let us know your results.
