Hi I just recently got wait listed to Rutgers Arts and Science. I have a 3.04 gpa and an 1800 SAT score and a 720 on my math SAT 2. I know I have to send in my Mid year report and my grades are all A's and B's for the first semester of Senior year. I just have one problem which is that most schools require applicants to finalize their schools by May 1st and for RU if you are wait listed they will tell you after May 1st. I really want to go to Rutgers and i want to know what my chances are of getting in and what i can do to increase my chances of getting accepted from the waiting list.

I have nearly identical stats as yours, and I was also put on the wait list for Arts and Sciences, as well as SEBS. My grades this year have also been all A’s and B’s. Hopefully we will be accepted, there are a lot of people with very high stats that apply and get accepted with no intention of attending.

RU is my top choice and it was very depressing that i got wait listed, i just want to know if it is really hard to get in if you have been wait listed. I do know that many people who have applied to RU sometimes do not have the intention of going to RU because they got into a better school. I have sent in my semester grades is there anything i can do to improve my chances of getting accepted.

My SATs is 1470 (writing-400), GPA 3.9, and lots of ECs. However, my stats did get me into NB SAS and SEBS even though my SATs is horrendous! I would say if you get you’re GPA up, you would have an advantage in getting in! So work hard and don’t catch the senioritis! Good luck!

Wow that is pretty stupid. I’m at an 1810 SAT score and a 3.4 GPA, they wanted my grades but I won’t be able to send mine in until some time next week.
