Is it possible to have a 3.63 GPA and 28 ACT and not get LSP'd? Could the essay and extracurriculars sway it? I'll be applying to CAS.

I think perhaps you would of had greater chances in ED. But there may still be a chance in regular decision just don't know how great. College admission process is crazy. Just apply and see what happens =]

one of my close friends got into steinhardt last year with a 28 act.

I got LSP'ed last year with a 3.6ish, 28 ACT and 1900 SAT....but make sure you have some decent extra circulars.

I got in to CAS with a 3.66 and a 30 ACT. And the ECs and Essays are HUGE!!! I got in to all of my reaches because mine were really good.

aww, you guys are making me feel so much better :)
I really want to get in!

got into Gallatin with a 3.2 and a 31 ACT. you can get in. give yourself a chance. EC, essays, and recs count for a lot.

thanks again guys.
but were you accepted this year? for ED? because isn't RD a lot more competitive? that's what I'm worried about.

True, but with the state of the economy, I think RD apps to NYU might not be what they normally are.
