Has someone ever gotten a low 600 in the writing and have it dramatically increase to 700+? Is this even possible?? (By now you probably know that I am desperate to raise my poor writing score. It's the only thing that is stopping me from getting a 2100+! What is the best method to accomplish such a goal??)

Possible to raise that much, but not likely. The solution is to practice, practice, and practice some more.

Don't know if this effects our theory at all but I did the opposite; I started with a 760 and then got a 640.

How did you manage that? I can see a drop of maybe 10-20 points, but -120 is crazy bad.

Most people say Writing is by far the easiest subject to improve in. It is like math, you just need to know rules and how to apply them. Very easy to get a above a 700 from 600 if you study a little.

I don't know why i decreased; the other 2 sections both went up into the high 700s. Do you think that such a decrease will hurt me, even though my superscore is still a 1550/2310.

you're fine..i wouldn't sweat it...
