I am going to be a junior this year and I realize that my ECs need to improve if I want to have reasonable chances to get into one of the colleges I hope to. I am quite strong academically, however, my school offers very few ECs that interest me. There are only really 3 at the school that interest me, tennis, science club, and spanish club. I am in all 3, however, I don't think it will be enough, especially because I am not in a leadership position due to my introverted disposition. I have done a fair amount of volunteering. Any tips of how to improve my chances?

How long have you been in each club? It wouldn’t hurt to add another EC but no too much because Colleges can tell that you are trying to pad your r

Just get a fantastic SAT score (2100 <) and high grades in your classes. EC’s and volunteering are actually trivial if you can accomplish those 2, especially since you’re introverted. I’m not saying don’t do any of them though.

But you still have 2 years left of high school, what’s to worry about?

Thanks, I’m pretty confident that I can do very well on the SAT and ACT

Start a club on something you’re interested in- then you can get an automatic leadership position and it’ll look like you’re the type of person who takes initiative.
