Besides a goodnights rest and eating a good breakfast what are some good ways to give yourself enough energy to last through the whole test (especially the CR portion)?

Monster Energy Drinks...preferably original.

Adderall .. just kidding.

Tea is good for improving your stamina -- but it doesn't have so much caffeine that it's overwhelming (i.e. Red Bull)

Take your practice tests timed, straight through, so you get used to it. Also, bring healthy snacks to the testing center...granola bar, apple, something with peanut butter, a banana, tuna sandwich, hard-boiled egg...good brain foods.

make sure you've done a few practice tests on your own under realistic testing conditions

Monster Energy Drinks...preferably original.

That's horrible.

i don't advise bringing the tuna sandwich or the egg to the testing center.... might be a lil smelly after the 3rd hour of testing =O hehe :p

haha ditto mellow!
so you shouldn't have red bull before the test?

As a couple of other posters have said, I think the most important thing to do is to do entire practice tests straight through ahead of time, instead of doing a few sections at a time.

If you really want to be careful, you might add in an extra section to the CB practice exams, just because the real test will have one more section than the practice exams (that is, the experimental section.)

Oh yeah--and don't skip the essay. :)

Um, that's what ice packs and insulated lunch bags are for. :-)

bring Chocolate(maybe peanut butter chocolate), you need some sugar for your brain to function

don't drink red bull...my friends started twitching and shaking after he drank two

Yeah, those energy drinks aren't really good for you at all. Drink coffee instead; the yummy combo of sugar, caffeine and tasty is beautiful in the morning.

For me, a bottle of cold Diet Pepsi;

Keeps me awake and not hungry

Prevents me from sleeping due to the carbonation in my stomach/throat

Doesnt make me go to the bathroom since it's low on caffine and the amount isnt considerable enough

For me, Coffee makes me too relaxed and frankly I dont want to be relaxed when I know i have the most important academic test of my life in front of me o_o

I'd say don't do anything too out of the ordinary, because it might interrupt your routine and flow. Just keep it simple.. you don't wanna be worrying about more things than you need to be.

don't overload on caffeine if you aren't used to it.
I agree with everyone that taking full length practice tests is really the best way to get used to the time involved.

Practice tests are a lot harder to stand though because you know the only thing preventing you from going to watch TV is whether or not you want to...>_<
