IMSA Applicant Class of 2020

I got waitlisted

Does anyone know te stats of waitpooled students actually getting in?

Ohh and congrattss!!

THE MAIL TRUCK LITERALLY JUST DIDNT SHOW UP??? my friend lives two neighborhoods down and got her letter??? what the heck

Congratulation @xjayy13!!! It is a very good chance to get invited! as far as I know, it vary depending on how many people accept the offer to attend, I believe last year like 60 people got out of wait list… something like this… And it goes by gender, if a girl would reject the offer to attend they will draw a girl out of wait pool to replace the loss.

@xjayy13 i found an admissions presentation for the class of 2017 and it said 45 people were waitlisted and 34 people were invited but declined, so based off that, there’s a 75% chance of getting out of the waitpool

Congrats @xjayy13 I don’t know the exact statistics, but I know there are a large number of people that get called from the waitlist. My roommate for example was called off the waitlist the day after orientation while people can get called in on move-in day. You should still have a good chance at getting into IMSA.

@cringemaster yes, my data might be from a different year…

Thanks guyzz!!!

@javascript i’m so confused by the term “class of 2017” because sometimes 2017 means the year of graduation, while other times it means the year that people begin lolol

@cringemaster Class of 2017 means the year that class graduates

Just called my dad and he said he has it. He won’t open it until I get home…

@cringemaster same here  I am trying to be positive waiting for my decision, and I feel like my adrenalin getting high… kind of too high… :-SS

@captain1929 ask your dad to look for “Congratulations!” word, if he can see through… My parents not responding… so I will have to open it myself

I asked him but he won’t dare to look… AHHHHH IM GOING TO KILL SKMEOME

@captain1929 That’s probably not a good thing to do if you’re hoping to get in here

I’m so nervous and excited for everyone to see their letters, even though it isn’t my class!

same @kristin1501

SHHHHHHHH @HooHah05

Current senior here - just found out my younger brother got in! My dad opened the letter during his lunch break and texted my brother. It’s much more exciting to open it yourself!!! Worth the wait for sure  Good luck everyone!!!
